The Attorney Behind Jean-Pierre Law

I don't practice law from a distance. I came to this country as a teenager from Haiti, figured out how to build a life here, and eventually built a career helping others do the same. Immigration is where this firm started, and it's still the core of what I do — but over time, I've expanded to serve clients on estate planning, personal injury, and prenuptial agreements, because the families I work with need more than one thing, and they deserve an attorney they already trust to help them get it.

How I Help Others Navigate a Path I've Already Traversed.

I'm originally from Haiti and relocated to the United States as a teenager, putting down roots in South Florida. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Pre-Law from Florida Atlantic University, then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. From there, I pursued my Juris Doctor at Western Michigan Thomas Cooley Law School, graduating with honors in August 2019.

Outside of law, I'm also a licensed insurance agent and realtor in Florida — two additional ways I've found to show up for the community I serve. When I'm not working, I'm usually traveling, spending time with my mother and daughter, or finding a good book — and, if I'm being honest, shopping.

Having grown up in Haiti and immigrating to the United States as a teenager, I know what it's like to arrive in a new country without a clear path forward. I know the uncertainty, the paperwork, and the fear of making a mistake that closes a door permanently. That experience doesn't leave you — and it fundamentally shapes how I approach every immigration case I take.

I became an attorney because I wanted to be the person I wished my family had access to when we needed it most. I built this firm in Sebring, Florida, and I've grown my practice to represent immigration clients across all 50 states — with deep roots in the Haitian community in Florida, New York, and the D.C. area.

My clients speak English, French, and Haitian Creole. So do I. For a lot of the people who come to this firm, that's the first time they haven't had to worry about whether their attorney actually understood what they said.
